Now in the barrel to be ready for Christmas..
Based on the recipe for Bateman Victory Ale with a little mulled wine spice selection added to the boil to give it that little bit of Christmas flavour. 
Well, I’m now floundering under the number of tomatoes coming off of the plants that I’ve so lovingly cared for over the last few months. Below is a poor quality picture of the largest of the crop, I just hope that it’s going to be edible
I managed to arrange it (with the Met Office) so that my week’s holiday in the UK coincided with the one week of summer. A visit to the North Devon area with the family was pleasure with much relaxing on the beach
and a couple of rounds of golf at the wonderful Ilfracombe golf course. 
A lovely weeks Holiday in a great location.
Well, the fruit it is growing!
Some of the Beefsteak tomatoes are now 2-3 inches in diameter but no sign of them turning red yet. Come on sunshine, do your duty!
The early part of spring has seen some mighty growth to my tomatoes and as a first time tomato grower I’m very proud. Given the constant rain now though I’m starting to get concerned that all I will end up with is some large plants and no fruit.
No, I don’t know why I’m posting this either.
